Dermal filler and anti wrinkle procedures involve a few small injections into the skin. The dermal filler products we use have local anaesthetic blended into them.  We also use a highly effective topical anaesthetic to numb the skin prior to the injection process to make the procedure more comfortable. The injection process itself can take anywhere between 10-20 minutes and and uses a very thin needle for added comfort. Zahra is also known for her light touch and gentle nature during procedures so you can be rest assured you are in safe hands.

We do not charge by the millimetre (ml) but rather for the skill and expertise of our clinician, the complexity of the treatment and our unparalleled service which includes a thorough consultation, a review and ongoing follow up after care. As with any medical procedure, patients pay for the treatment and service not the product itself.

There is no one ‘magic age’ for when you should start and the best advise we can give is to book a consultation when things start to bother you. Injectable treatment is illegal for those under 18 years of age and preventative treatment is usually first sought by those in their late 20s and early 30s but again this is not the case for all. In any case if nothing bothers you, then you do not need to seek treatment at all!

Results for anti-wrinkle treatment tend to last on average 3-4 months. Dermal filler treatment results can last anywhere between 6 -18 months. In some cases it has lasted several years.

Slight bruising and swelling in the area is expected for 48 hours, so always book your appointments at a suitable time in the week, when you know you wont be attending an event or have some time off.

It takes around 14 days for products to completely settle and for residual swelling to subside. Ideally you should be planning injectable treatment well in advance and before the 2 weeks mark. We would advise at least 1-2 months before an event as a reasonable time frame.

As with any medical procedure, there is a possibility of some minor side effects.  Most commonly, these may include: bruising, swelling, redness, tenderness and sensitivity at the point of application. These usually vary from person to person and often times subside within a few days. Zahra will discuss this all with you in great depth at your consultation.
