Tear Trough Fillers

With the thinnest skin on the body at less than 1mm thick, the eye area/tear trough is often the first facial area to show visible signs of ageing. A combination of repeated facial expressions, collagen loss, fat pad thinning and loss of surrounding bone results in a darkened sunken and tired appearance here. We are able to inject a high quality, low density dermal filler here, Teosyal Redensity II. This allows us to lift and support the area, resulting in an instantly more refreshed, rejuvenated and youthful appearance.

At Medglo Clinic, we avoid the use of needles in this area and prefer the use of a micro cannula, which is a blunt ended instrument used to deposit dermal fillers safely. Its function is to allow more uniform and controlled distribution of the dermal filler, whilst pushing past blood vessels beneath the skin, reducing the chance of swelling and bruising greatly.
